(08/28/01) This month--225 years ago--Benedict Arnold launched his fleet of ships on Lake Champlain. The history of that campaign is now being rediscovered and re-evaluated. Archeologists are pulling long-lost artifacts from the muddy silt near the battle of Valcour Island. Re-enactors are bringing to life a desperate, brutal struggle that helped to launch the American Revolution. Brian Mann reports.
(09/07/01) The Battle of Plattsburgh--what was once seen as a frontier skirmish may have been a defining moment in America's history. Brian Mann has the third part of our series on Lake Champlain's maritime history.
