(05/17/11) Our storytelling series, The Crystal, continues with Brockville storyteller Bill LaLonde. He shares a tale about love and pickpocketing in Victorian London.
(03/20/11) Every year around the first of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere (or the first of Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere) people all over the world gather to tell stories for World Storytelling Day. Thanks to Deborah Dunleavy, the host of our own storytelling series "The Crystal", NCPR is celebrating the day with four storytellers. On the program we hear stories from Ed Clark, Karen Glass, Fran Yardley and Deborah.

From January to June 2010 Deborah was Storyteller in Residence for the Arthur Child Heritage Museum in Gananoque. The Toronto Festival of Storytelling featured Deborah at their 2010, 2007 and 2005 gatherings. Deborah took Beaver Hats & Bagpipes to Scotland in June 2008 and in 2004 the Canadian High Commission, London and the Canadian Embassy in Dublin supported Deborah's tour of Ireland with her Canadian program, Northern Nights. Deborah lives in Brockville with her husband, composer Howard Alexander.
